Northcoast is a small family kennel located in the North East of England. We have owned Alaskan Malamutes since 1992, when we purchased our first boy ‘Jake’ aka Tigaras Celtic Warrior.
Over the years we have shown, worked and backpacked with our dogs. However first and foremost out dogs are beloved family pets.
Jake was followed a year later by his Auntie ‘Kooshka’, (aka Tigaras Lady Jane) who was 8 years old at the time, and came to us as a rescue. We were originally going to get another pup and get ourselves involved more in the working scene, but when we heard about Kooshka we just could not help ourselves. Our plans could wait.
A couple of real kids, and another 3 Mals later, and we still find ourselves as fixated and interested in the breed as ever.
